Food drive during July, here is what they need:
- Canned Meals
- Canned Meat
- Dry Beans
- Fruit (Canned or Fresh)
- Peanut Butter
- Tomato Products
- Vegetables (Canned or Fresh)
- Baby Food
SERVE at the Hopelink Kirkland Food Bank; Tuesday, July 28th, 5-7 pm; (we know it’s not the most convenient time, but they don’t take weekend volunteers—and this is as late in the evening as they go) here are the details.
WHEN: Tuesday, July 26th, 5-7 PM
WHERE: Hopelink Kirkland/Northshore Center
11011 120th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA98033
WHY: When a family doesn't have enough food - the most basic human need - stability in other areas is impossible. Hopelink provides food for survival and nutrition education for self-sufficiency.
WHAT: i.e. Food bank and warehouse projects. These will include, but not limited to, sorting donations, restocking our shelves, repacking bulk product, organizing and cleaning work spaces, and more.
PARKING: Please park in front of building (along the street is ok), but not to the side or in the back. The latter spaces are reserved for our food bank clients.
APPAREL: Hopelink’s dress guidelines state, “No flip-flops or open-toed shoes are allowed in food banks. No cut-offs, halter, tube or tank tops are allowed at any time, and short, skirts or dresses should not be more than two inches above the top of the knee. T-shirts should not have large pictures/slogans and sunglasses should not be worn indoors or when interacting with clients.” For your safety, please also refrain from wearing dangly or large jewelry.
DRUG FREE ENVIRONMENT: We do not allow individuals to be under the influence or in possession of alcohol or drugs in Hopelink facilities.
