Worship at Salt House is designed to be an experiment; trial and error, full of the sacred and flavored with sometimes silly things that happen when make human plans in an effort to engage with the divine. We are not perfect people and we worship in imperfect ways, but we want to trust in God's leading.
Here are some things you can expect when you come to worship at Salt House:
Singing // Music helps us orient ourselves. Learn as you go + sing as you feel comfortable. We use modern music and practices informed by the church's historical and liturgical traditions.
Teaching // We teach through an interactive time of engaging the countless intersections between the Bible + Jesus + our lives + our world.
Reflection + Response // A quiet moment with music, prayer, listening to God + choosing a response for now or the week to come.
Communion // As Jesus showed us, we take bread + dip it in wine to remember God’s generosity and presence with + in us.
Salt House Kids // We have childcare available during worship for kids from birth to 7 years old (older if necessary). We always have at least 2 people on duty and everyone who works with children is background checked.
