At Salt House, one of the things we do on a regular basis is gather families with young(ish) kids together someone's home for a time of connection and food (potluck style). We'd like you to know you're invited to jump in as we are gathering on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm (ish) at the Benoit's home (address provided upon RSVP to email@example.com)
If you're joining the gathering for first time it usually goes like this: We eat all together (usually the kids eat first) in a bit of chaos! Then we send the kids off to the basement or another space with a couple of sitters, while the parents have an hour to eat, talk about what's happening in our lives, what we're experiencing in our faith, and pray together.
These gatherings are very social, but also spiritually rich with conversations that open us up to the reality of what it means to people who are aiming to raise our kids in faith. It's just really, really good.
Oh, and we usually all chip in to cover the cost of the sitters (About $10 per family).
