Vacation Bible School & Day Camp

VBS | 9:00 am - noon Monday-Friday

Day Camp | 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday -Thursday; 9:00 am - noon Friday

Each year we have an adventure where kids explore the bible in a variety of ways - through song, story, arts & crafts, games, science, and snacks. This week is fun and has something for everyone! It’s a week you don’t want to miss! Everyone discovers something more about loving each other, building a community, and discovering God’s boundless love. We are so excited to have your child just us for an amazing week at Life is a Highway.

Volunteer Opportunities Each year we need many adults and teenagers to volunteer for our Vacation Bible School & Day Camp program. All teens who are entering 7th -12th grade in September are eligible to apply. We also need many adults who are willing to serve in various roles. If you would like to volunteer, please complete the online volunteer application form.

Mark your calendars to join us Thursday night, July 18th at 6:00 pm for our Life is a Highway Celebration at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church to celebrate the amazing week we’ve had and share some of your child’s favorite songs.

Scholarships are available. Contact Becky at for more information.

The program is for children age 4 by 7/15/2019 through those who have completed 5th grade. Child must be potty trained. Parents should be available to stay in the building for the beginning if child has problems separating. Friends are WELCOME! You do not need to be a member of HSLC to attend. Pass along the link to the registration form to friends or neighbors.

Food Allergies  If your child has a food allergy, we ask you to please provide that information on the registration form. Our snacks are nut free. If your child has many allergies, we will contact you to determine the best way to meet your child's specific needs.

Cost  If you are in a position to make an extra donation to help defray the costs and provide scholarship funds, please add this to your payment.

Parent Participation   We anticipate having nearly 200 children here the week of Life is a Highway – what a gift! We need your help. Parents, grandparents, and guardians are asked to consider sharing some of their time or talents during the week. There are also many thing that need to be done prior to the week of VBS & Day Camp, so you have an opportunity to get involved that way as well. We appreciate your understanding and willingness to be a part of this program.

Complimentary Childcare (Birth-3)  Available for VBS volunteers while they volunteer.  Please inform us of your needs on the volunteer application form.

Service Project  We will collect food for the local food bank and Helen Keller Elementary. A list of most-needed foods will be available mid-June
