First Time

Welcome to Salt House.

We are glad you are here (or are checking out our app) for the first time. Our hope is that you'd find a vibrant, connected, and growing community here at Salt House. We are a new church here in Kirkland and in many ways, we're still just figuring things out. Maybe you can relate. But no matter where you find yourself on the journey, please know that you are welcome here.

We hope you hear this loud and clear when you visit Salt House, but we'll say it again here: We believe in the radical inclusion of all people because of how Jesus lived. We say this as much to a first time visitor as we do to our ourselves every time we gather.

No matter... we feel or what we believe
...the color of our skin or physical ability
...our gender identity or sexual orientation
...what we've done or what we haven't done
...whether we have questions or think we have all the answers
...we are all matter what.

We believe that there is room at the table for everyone. Period. We believe Jesus welcomes all people and so we do too.

Have you ever heard it said that CHANGE is really the only CONSTANT in our lives? We are living through TRANSITIONS almost all the time. Some are awesome and some...not so much. But in all of life's ups and downs, we believe we can trust in a God that is present and actively working to produce GOOD in us and in our world.

At Salt House, we strive to be a community that is:

  • Rooted in God's boundless grace for ourselves and others,
  • Informed by the stories, poetry, wisdom, and history of the Bible,
  • Motivated and forever changed by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus,
  • Empowered by the promised presence of the Holy Spirit, and
  • Connected to ourselves, our loved ones, and our neighbors with hope for the future.
